Van Schalkwyk Family |
| From when to when did she work for you: |
Jan 2020 to Jun 2023 |
| Why is she no longer employed? |
We relocated back to USA |
| What were her Duties? |
I needed a nanny to assist with my son of 2 weeks old and daughter of 4 years old as I was employed. She would go through the alphabet with my 4-year-old and read to her. She did all the typical nanny duties from nappy changing, bathing to bottle feeding. She also cleaned our very big house, and it was always clean. She had a routine in her head, and I never had to ask or hint to her to do anything. She did the bedding weekly, windows monthly. She is amazing. |
| How was her personality at work? |
Belief is a chameleon. She can adapt to what her employers like. I am quite extraverted so she and I could have nice chats whereas my mother-in-law prefers a quiet space, and Belief would adapt to that and give her space. She can read a room and identify what people need. She is a very caring and intelligent person. |
| What would you say your former employee needs more training in? |
Depends on what her employer requires. She is already very skilled |
| What did she excel in? |
Just being trustworthy and reliable and flexible |
| Loyalty to her work? |
Very much so |
| Was she mostly on time for work? |
She lived in so yes |
| How was her personality towards the kids and animals or the elderly in the house? |
Like I said she is a chameleon and can get along with absolutely anyone. Super respectful and trustworthy. My kids still miss her. |
| Her thoroughness? |
Yes, especially considering the size of the house. |
| How many days in a week did she work? |
She lived in worked Mon to Friday and the occasional Saturday as well |
| Did she cook? Example of the meals? |
Belief would occasionally cook for my children. Things like breakfast, pasta, pap. She is very flexible and willing to help |
| Did she give notice when she resigned/ if applicable? |
NA |
| Communication skills |
Belief for sure has great communication skills. She opens and willing to anything and never complains. Her English is very good. |
| Pets |
We brought our 2 American Pitbulls with us to SA and Belief was amazing with them. She would wash their blankets and bedding once a week and if the gardener was not there, she would assist by picking up their poo. When we were away for meetings, she would petsit, make sure they have food and water etc., |
