| From | Cumbelagde Family |
| From when to when did she work for you: | SS has been associated with my family for about 20 years. Over that time she has worked in different capacities for various members of our family, sometimes full-time and sometimes part-time. |
| Why is she no longer employed? | she still helps me on a part-time basis when she is available |
| What were her Duties? | When she worked for me part-time, she mainly did housekeeping. She later completed caregiver training and has done extensive training since then. Even before her formal training, she cared for my mother who had Alzheimer’s, and she was truly amazing with her.
|
| How was her personality at work? | She was exceptional. My mother could hardly communicate, but one of the few things she would repeatedly say was “thank you” to Zike. That says a lot about the care and compassion Zike showed. |
| Whas she a through work | She is very thorough in her domestic work. When she has been there, the house is absolutely perfect. She works very quickly and efficiently and manages to get through a lot of work. She pays attention to detail, getting into corners and making sure everything is spotless. |
| Was she mostly on time for work? | Yes she was |
| How old were the kids when she started working for you? | I cannot speak extensively from my direct experience, as my children are grown and I now have grandchildren. However, I do know she has worked with children. She worked for an institution until October/November last year where she cared for disabled children. |
| How many days in a week did she work? | At different stages she worked in different arrangements. She was employed full-time looking after my elderly parents, particularly my mother who had Alzheimer’s. She lived on the property and cared for my mother for about two years until my mother passed away. She also worked full-time at my sister’s backpackers for approximately two and a half years. In Johannesburg she has worked for me part-time, usually two or three days a week depending on my family’s needs. So over the years she has worked both full-time and part-time for our family. |
| Did she cook? Example of the meals? | Not really. I enjoy cooking myself, so she did not do the cooking. Occasionally she would assist with small things like peeling vegetables, but not full cooking. |
| Pets? | Yes. I have always had cats and there has never been any issue. She is perfectly comfortable with animals. |
| Communications skills? | Her communication skills are reasonably good. We communicate on WhatsApp and she is pleasant, friendly, and easy to talk to. |
| Would you recommend her services | Absolutely. |
