| Family 1: | Douglas Feedback |
| From when to when did she work for you: | 2017-2024 |
| Why is she no longer employed? | We wanted someone who could do live-in. |
| What were her Duties? | She was a nanny, looked after the children, prepared meals, and cleaned the home. She also assisted the children with homework/schoolwork. She also prepared meals for the family. |
| How was her personality at work? | She is fantastic, very engaging with the kids. She’s very smart. |
| What would you say your former employee needs more training in? | She already has some certificates with childcare. |
| What did she excel in? | She’s actually very good at that. She’s done some training on early childhood development, if I remember correctly. And in fact, yeah, I think that’s one of her strengths, that she’s a bit more engaging. |
| Loyalty to her work? | She must have worked for my family broadly, my sister, my parents, and myself for about, yeah, on and off, I must have been about ten years more maybe. |
| Was she mostly on time for work? | Always, yeah. |
| How was her personality towards the kids and animals or the elderly in the house? | She is fantastic, very engaging with the kids. She’s absolutely fine with dogs, that I can remember. |
| Her thoroughness? | Yes. |
| How many days in a week did she work? | Monday- Friday. |
| Did she cook? Example of the meals? | I wouldn’t say she is a cook. I mean, I know some families, you know, they’ve got a helper that cooks for them every single day, but she prepared a lot of meals for us. |
| Did she give notice when she resigned/ if applicable? | She did not need to serve notice, she was retrenched. |
| Would you recommend her services? | Yes |
| Communication skills? | She is very engaging with the kids. She’s very smart, and yeah. We have lots of love and affection for her. |
| Family 2: | Rimmer Feedback |
| From when to when did she work for you: | I think it was about nine years. |
| Why is she no longer employed? | The only reason she’s no longer working for us is because we moved out of South Africa. She ended up working for my brother. |
| What were her Duties? | She was primarily the children’s caregiver during the day, and she also helped with the house, cleaning and ironing when she was able. |
| How was her personality at work? | She is absolutely amazing. |
| What would you say your former employee needs more training in? | Nothing really |
| What did she excel in? | What was amazing was she would actually invent projects and things for the kids to do before they were in, like, formal school. She really values education. She really did find the balance between it all. |
| Loyalty to her work? | She is still a part of our family. |
| Was she mostly on time for work? | Most of the time she was. There was a period where she struggled… But I did grow to understand what the struggles were, and after having talks and saying how it impacted me, then I think she got other things in place, and yeah, she was back to her reliable self. |
| How was her personality towards the kids and animals or the elderly in the house? | She would actually invent projects and things for the kids to do before they were in, like, formal school. She would, I think she would, sit down and do homework with you sort of in such a nice way. She would convince anyone to do, you know, the work you don’t want to do or clean your room when you don’t want to clean your room. She was great with Alex (family dog). |
| Her thoroughness? | She managed well. |
| How many days in a week did she work? | Monday – Friday |
| Did she cook? Example of the meals? | Yeah, actually she did. She makes a mean lasagna and roast chicken. She did actually teach me how to cook pap and other things as well |
| Did she give notice when she resigned/ if applicable? | She did not resign, my family moved out of South Africa. |
| Would you recommend her services? | She is absolutely amazing, yes. |
| Communication skills? | Oh, very good. Very, very good. Written, text, verbal. Yeah, she’s amazing. |
