| Oesch Family: | Feedback |
| From when to when did she work for you: | She worked for us for approximately 11 to 11½ years, until September 2025. |
| Why is she no longer employed? | We relocated to the George/Western Cape area in September 2025, so unfortunately we had to let her go. It was purely because of our relocation and not because of any issues with her work. |
| What were her Duties? | She was employed as a domestic cleaner. Her duties included cleaning the entire house, including the bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, scullery, lounges and other areas. She followed a structured cleaning schedule and also occasionally cleaned the garage and the inside of my car when requested. When my children were younger, she would also look after them for a few hours if I needed to go out |
| How was her personality at work? | She was honest, friendly, hardworking and lovely. She always arrived with a friendly face and a positive attitude. She was never complaining or unhappy and always greeted me warmly and asked how I was and how my family was doing. |
| What would you say your former employee needs more training in? | I cannot think of anything specific that she needs more training in. She did complete a caregiving course, which my husband paid for, and she successfully completed the course. She has the practical knowledge from the course, although she has not yet worked professionally as a caregiver. |
| What did she excel in? | She excelled in cleaning, following instructions and working efficiently. She was very thorough and fast and always completed the tasks I asked her to do. She was also very good at maintaining the house to a high standard. |
| Loyalty to her work? | Her loyalty was excellent. She worked for us for approximately 11 to 11½ years, which shows how committed and reliable she was. |
| Was she mostly on time for work? | Yes, absolutely. She was always on time and was usually early. She would normally arrive around 7:30 or 7:40 in the morning |
| How was her personality towards the kids and animals or the elderly in the house? | She was very comfortable around my children and had an excellent relationship with both of my daughters. When they were younger, I was completely comfortable leaving them with her for a few hours. We also had two Pembroke Corgis, and she was very comfortable working around the dogs. She regularly cleaned and vacuumed because they shed quite a lot. There were no elderly people in the household |
| Her thoroughness? | She was very thorough. I had a detailed cleaning schedule for each day from Monday to Thursday, and she followed it very well. By the end of Thursday, the entire house had been cleaned, and the kitchen was always required to be 100% perfect. She consistently met my expectations. |
| How many days in a week did she work? | She worked four days a week, from Monday to Thursday, during the day. She was not a live-in domestic worker, although I know she is prepared to live in. |
| Did she cook? Example of the meals? | Cooking was not part of her regular duties, so I cannot comment on her cooking ability. |
| Did she give notice when she resigned/ if applicable? | She did not resign. Her employment ended because we relocated to the Western Cape, so notice due to resignation was not applicable. |
| Would you recommend her services? | Yes, most definitely. I would highly recommend her as a domestic cleaner. She is honest, friendly, hardworking, reliable and follows instructions well. She is a wonderful person, and we were extremely sad to lose her when we relocated. |
| Communication skills? | Her communication skills were good. She communicated respectfully and openly with me and was always friendly and interactive. We had a very good relationship and still communicate with each other on WhatsApp. |
