| From when to when did she work for you: | She worked for me from, I think it was about June 2013 until December of 2020. So it was around seven years. |
| Why is she no longer employed? | With regards to ending her employment, we were relocating from Cape Town to Pretoria, so we no longer needed her services, and that was the reason why she stopped working for us. |
| What were her Duties? | When she started, I had two children, aged three and two years old, and her duties were, she was a nanny, and she also cleaned the house. So her duties were to clean the house and then also to look after the children after they came back from school because they were attending a preschool, and also if I needed her to babysit in the evenings or over the weekend, then she had to be there to do that.
She was living out. She wasn’t living in with us, and so she would come to work Monday to Friday and babysitting over the weekend if it was needed.” “We lived in a three-bedroom house, and so her job was to clean the house and do laundry and then look after the children when they got home, bathing them, feeding them, yeah, and just being with them when they got home from school |
| How was her personality at work? | She’s gentle. My children really loved her. She’s not loud. She’s more on the quiet side, very approachable. She’s patient. Yes, and she treated my children well. That’s what I would say. And she’s caring It was nice to have her inside the home. It was comfortable in the home with her around, which was good |
| What would you say your former employee needs more training in? | With regards to training, I can’t really speak to that because that was… She ended with us in 2020, so I can’t speak to what training she needs. It’s been five years, so I cannot really speak to that. |
| How old were the kids when she started work? | 2 years and 3 years She was very patient with the children. She was reliable. She came to work on time, always, and if there were any problems, she would call to let me know ahead of time, but usually there were none. She was always available to babysit for us. There were never any issues. She was always available when I asked her to. And so everything went smoothly. |
| Was she punctual | She was reliable. She came to work on time, always. She had excellent support at home, so it didn’t impact her work. So she was always at work on time. She was rarely sick. She came most days, actually |
| How was her work speed? | She completed what she needed to do by the end of the day. I didn’t have any issues with her work speed or any delays, things not done. I didn’t have that with her. She managed to get everything done by the end of the week. So I was happy with her work speed as well |
| Was she thorough? | She was able to do all the work herself, making sure the house was clean. So everything that I needed her to do, she was able to do. I was happy with her work. My house was very clean, and doing the laundry. Laundry was always done. So everything that I needed her to do, she was able to do, and everything went smoothly in my house |
| Pets? | N/A |
| How many days in a week did she work? | 5 days a week |
| Communication skills? | She communicates, but as I said, she was always coming to work on time and communication with regards to verbal skills, she is articulate. She can, yes, she speaks English, and she can articulate herself clearly and she can understand everything that is said to her in the English language. So on that side, everything’s fine. It was easy enough to communicate via WhatsApp. |
| Would you recommend her services? | I was happy to, at the end of the working term in 2020, I was happy to recommend her, and I still am happy to recommend her based on my experience with her over the years that she worked for me. So I would be happy, I’m happy to recommend her. Yes, based on my knowledge of her when she worked for me. |

| From when to when did she work for you: | From 2022 until this year July |
| Why is she no longer employed? | She stopped working for me because I needed an au pair |
| What were her Duties? | She cooked, she cleaned, washed, picking up the kids from school, but mainly the little one. And yeah, if it was a short distance, like she’d drive the kid to swimming lessons, but only short distance, no highway driving |
| How was her personality at work? | She’s not, like, what is it? She’s not that traditional matron type. She’s like a cool aunt, and the kids love her |
| What would you say your former employee needs more training in? | It depends on every person. Like, when you’re someone to someone’s 16, how they need you to train, but teachable. And she’s very relatable, especially with young kids. I find sometimes my older son chatters with her and then I get information on the… So yeah, she’s a very nice person and kids love her |
| What did she excel in? | The cooking and taking care of the boys |
| How old were the kids when she started work? | My youngest was one and the oldest was eight |
| Was she punctual | She has her family of her own, but she was very early. By 7 o’clock she’d be there to help me get the kids out to the car, and help me get them. |
| How many days in a week did she work? | Monday to Friday. 5 days a week |
| Communication skills? | I found them fine. I found her, like, she somebody you can have a very frank conversation with. And I don’t like people who don’t say what how they feel because then you, a person, you don’t know how. She was, she could communicate how she felt if she wasn’t happy about anything, and I was happy with that. |
| Would you recommend her services? | Yes, definitely. |
