Paulsen Family:
LB worked for our family from 2016 to 2020 providing exceptional care for our daughter, Ava. Unfortunately, we had to part ways when we relocated to Australia; otherwise, she would still be an integral part of our household.
LB’s main responsibilities were to ensure Ava’s wellbeing, starting from when she was just 6 months old until she was almost 4 years old. In addition to her childcare duties, Lisinda also handled light housekeeping tasks. Ava was always well taken care of, and LB exhibited a remarkable level of attentiveness and caution towards her. She consistently came up with unique and engaging activities that not only entertained Ava but also contributed to her fine motor skill development. For example, one memorable activity involved giving Ava a colander and uncooked spaghetti to maneuver through the holes, fostering her fine motor skills – an innovative idea that would not have crossed my mind.
Throughout LB’s employment, we never encountered any issues. She consistently displayed initiative and excelled in her interactions with Ava. We thoroughly enjoyed her pleasant company, and she maintained a trustworthy presence in our household. Additionally, we were impressed by her comfort and competence around our two dogs. Given the opportunity, we would not hesitate to employ her again.
Burger Family:
LB made an impression when she arrived for her job interview on New Year’s Day 2020. When it was time to observe her interaction with our daughter and they went to play outside, she asked “Where is the sunscreen?”. These actions really made her stand out from the other candidates we interviewed. She took care of our eldest daughter, and later also our second daughter’s wellbeing since then. Her age-appropriate interaction with our children is really appreciated.
She is creative and enjoys drawing and painting with the kids. Baking real muffins or mud cakes are other favourite activities. She has a soft loving way of working with kids and is well suited to look after babies. With LB our possessions and precious ones were in safe hands. After lockdown she wore a mask at our home and took other precautions to safeguard our family from the potential risk of Covid-19. LB always offered to help out on public holidays and weekends. It is a shame that her time with our children and the bond they shared needs to come to an end now, as school and work schedules require someone who can drive the children around.
