Duties:

Housekeeper duties

• Sweeping, vacuuming, scrubbing where necessary and mopping the floors.
• Taking items out of the cupboards, wiping the shelves, and neatly organising the cupboards.
• Cleaning the toilets, and restocking restrooms.
• Moving furniture to clean underneath
• Washing laundry, ironing the laundry, and packing it in the cupboards.
• Washing curtains and bed linen.
• Washing dish and cleaning the fridge and freezer.
• Cooked meals as per Employers request.
• Informing my employer of any cleaning equipment, detergents etc needed to effectively do my job.

Nanny duties

• Children were one year, eight years old and later a newborn baby

• Plan and supervise the children’s daily routine.
• Bath, change nappy and get the baby dressed.
• Prepare meals and feed the child.
• Read books, sing songs, and play age-appropriate games with the children.
• Teaching skills like colours, animals, numbers, and shapes
• Help the child develop their speech and vocabulary.
• Took them to walks
• Create a safe, stimulating environment for the children through safe and appropriate play.
• Make sure their overall wellbeing is alright

Private Family:

Samukelisiwe (Samu) was employed with us since 2014 as our domestic worker and nanny to our children. We are unfortunately forced terminate her position due to a change in scope of the position from “live out” to “live in” of which Samu is unfortunately unable to fulfil due to her personal family commitments. During her employment with us, Samu completed the ABC Childcare course. My wife also taught her to make several meals over the course of her employment. She was excellent with our children and was always honest and trustworthy and very good with security. Some of her duties among others were as follows:

We can highly recommend her for a nanny, domestic position. SJ completed her Home-Based Care course , where she also did her six-week practical training in 2024. Afterward, she worked as a night nanny caring for a newborn baby from August 2024 to the present. She is now employed as a live-in nanny.
