| From when to when did she work for you: | She worked for me for approximately four and a half years. She started when my first baby was about three or four months old. She worked full-time, Monday to Friday. My second child was born while she was working for me, and she continued working with us until both children started school. |
| Why is she no longer employed? | Both my children went to school, so I no longer needed a full-time nanny. The children still miss her, and we sometimes arrange for her to visit on a Saturday and play with them while my husband and I run errands. |
| What were her Duties? | · Looking after the children, with childcare being her first priority.
· Keeping the house very clean and spotless. · Doing all the washing. · Washing the dishes. · Managing childcare and domestic duties simultaneously. · Teaching the children basic Afrikaans words, colours and numbers. |
| How was her personality at work? | She is very reliable and dependable. She is good at communicating and speaks English quite well. Sometimes there can be misunderstandings because some words get mixed up, but otherwise, her communication is great. |
| What would you say your former employee needs more training in? | There is room for improvement in language, she knows a few Afrikaans words that she likes to use with the children. |
| What did she excel in? | She excelled in childcare and housekeeping. She managed to balance looking after the children with keeping the house spotless, doing the washing and washing the dishes. She also helped the children learn some Afrikaans words, colours and numbers. |
| Loyalty to her work? | She was very reliable and dependable. She worked for me for approximately four and a half years and remained with us as our family circumstances changed. We still arrange for her to visit the children because they miss her. |
| Was she mostly on time for work? | Yes, she was very reliable and was seldom a few minutes late. On the rare occasions when she was delayed, it was usually due to taxis. She would try to message me if she was waiting for a taxi or expected to be late. |
| Did she give notice when she resigned/ if applicable? | Her employment ended because both children started school and the family no longer needed a full-time nanny. So she did not necessarily need to. |
| Would you recommend her services? | Yes she is exceptionally diligent, reliable and trustworthy. |
| Communication skills? | She is good at communicating and speaks English quite well. She can also read and write in English. Occasionally, there may be misunderstandings because some words get mixed up. She knows a few Afrikaans words and can write some of them to help teach the children, including colours and numbers. |
