| From when to when did she work for you: | I employed her around 2015/2016. She became part of my family, and I continued to trust her with my property and assets even when I was no longer living there. |
| Why is she no longer employed? | I relocated to another country to pursue my business interests. I later returned to South Africa, and I am slowly starting to get my businesses going again. I have thought about Anna over the years because she was such a good person to work with. She became part of my family, and I always tried to help her whenever she needed it. |
| What were her Duties? | She worked as my secretary and also took care of my household. She did the cleaning, washing and general housekeeping. She took care of my belongings and managed the household very well.
She also looked after my former partner’s children, who were approximately 9 and 13 years old when she started working with us. I lived in a four-bedroom house with a swimming pool, a garage and a cottage at the back. I trusted her to take care of everything, including my private belongings and properties. |
| How was her personality at work? | She is a very humble, reserved and respectful person. She is not nosy or overly talkative, and I never had any problems with her attitude or behaviour. She is respectful towards me, my household and my visitors. She became part of my family, and we supported each other on a personal level. |
| What would you say your former employee needs more training in? | I don’t think she needs further training to execute her duties. She has a lot of experience and knows how to do her job. If she needs to learn a different way of doing something, I believe she will learn quickly because she is a fast learner. |
| What did she excel in? | She is excellent at cleaning, washing and organising clothes. I am a very particular person when it comes to cleanliness and organisation, and I was very impressed with how she looked after my clothes and kept everything in order. She is a very clean person and takes pride in her work. |
| Have you ever had issues with some of your items going missing | No, I never had any issues with her. I trusted her with the keys to my properties, including an apartment where I kept my personal belongings and money. I could leave her with access to my properties for extended periods, and I would return to find everything in order.
Sometimes, when she washed my clothes, she would find money in my pockets and return it to me. She is a very, very trustworthy person. |
| Was she mostly on time for work? | Yes, she was very punctual. She was always on time and sometimes arrived early. She was also respectful of my home, my personal space and my visitors. |
| Was she thorough | Yes, she was very thorough. I am a strict person and like things done in a particular way, but I never had any issues with her. She listened to instructions well and consistently did an excellent job. |
| How many days in a week did she work? | She generally worked three days per week, but I would sometimes call on her when I needed her assistance. |
| Did she give notice when she resigned/ if applicable? | N/A |
| Communication skills? | She communicates when necessary and addresses matters at the appropriate time. She is not very talkative, but I do not believe she would have any problems communicating. She may be reserved initially, but she will communicate when approached. |
| Would you recommend her services? | Yes, definitely. She is an excellent person, very trustworthy, hardworking and respectful. I would confidently recommend her to anyone looking for a housekeeper. |
