| From when to when did she work for you: | She worked for me from the end of 2012 until 2025. |
| Why is she no longer employed? | My children are moving into high school and no longer need a full-time nanny. With their school schedules and afternoon sports, a full-time helper was no longer necessary. |
| What were her Duties? | She initially started by looking after my son. The following year my daughter was born, so she mainly looked after the children while they were small. Once the children went to school, she did all the housework as well. |
| Did she cook as well? | Cooking was not a daily duty. We did send her on a cooking course because she enjoys cooking and baking. In the early years, when there was time, she would cook a few dishes she liked and bake with the kids, especially during holidays. Baking with the kids was something she really enjoyed. She is capable of reading and following recipes, but cooking was not a routine, everyday task. |
| How was her personality at work? | She is a hard worker. She does need to be told what to do, but that is actually a positive because she follows instructions very well. She was excellent with my children and very thorough, especially with childcare. She looked after my son from four months old and was very careful and attentive. She does not always take initiative on her own, but once given instructions, she follows them completely, particularly when it comes to caring for children. |
| What did she excel in? | She is capable of doing both very well. Housework is not her passion, but she does it properly and diligently. Her true passion is childcare. If she were to find a job she truly loves, it would be as a nanny. That said, she is excellent and fully capable in both roles. |
| Would you say she needs more training | No. There was nothing that stood out as needing training. My children are now 13 and 12 years old, and she also has her own children, including a young son, so she is experienced and capable. |
| Did anything go missing when she was working for you? | No, never. In fact, I once lost my wedding ring and asked her for help, and she found it. I never once suspected her. She is extremely honest and trustworthy. She would always ask permission before taking anything, even something as small as tea. I have never had any concerns regarding theft or safety |
| Was she mostly on time for work? | In the first few years, she lived with us, so punctuality was not an issue. Later on, transport could sometimes be difficult due to taxis, which was outside of her control. In the last few years, my children were at school and things were more flexible, so there wasn’t a strict start time. Overall, punctuality was not a concern. |
| How many days in a week did she work? | She was full-time, five days a week. |
| Did she give notice when she resigned/ if applicable? | N/A |
| Communication skills | She communicates well and is fluent in English. English is not her first language, so occasionally things may not come across perfectly, but she speaks, reads, and writes well. She raises issues when needed and communicates clearly and effectively. |
| Pets? | Yes, we had pets. When she started, she said she did not like dogs, but over time she completely fell in love with them. She became very comfortable with them. At one point, my son had a bird, which initially irritated her, but eventually she even allowed the bird to sit on her shoulder. The only pet she was uncomfortable with was my daughter’s hamster, but she managed fine as the children took care of it. Overall, she was very comfortable with pets. |
| Would you recommend her services | Absolutely, without hesitation. I definitely would recommend her. |
