Family: Abrahams Feedback
From when to when did she work for you:      Six and a half years
Why is she no longer employed? The family’s needs changed because both children are now older and attending school. There was no longer a need for a full-time nanny or housekeeper, as nobody was at home during the day.
What were her Duties? ·        Childcare: Caring for two children, performing nanny duties and adjusting her responsibilities as the children grew older.

·        Housekeeping: Cleaning a two-bedroom home with a lounge, kitchen and two bathrooms, and later managing housekeeping duties in a four-bedroom house.

·        Meal preparation: Preparing vegetables, chopping onions, ginger and garlic, and preparing ingredients for cooking.

·        Basic cooking: Boiling vegetables and preparing simple meals for the baby.

·        Routine management: Planning and organising household tasks for different days of the week.

·        General domestic duties: Balancing childcare responsibilities with household cleaning and other domestic tasks.

How was her personality at work? She is reliable, consistent, trustworthy, dependable and capable. She followed instructions well, took initiative in organising her weekly routine and was very consistent in carrying out her duties once she understood the family’s expectations.
What would you say your former employee needs more training in? She could benefit from further language and communication development, as the employer sometimes needed to explain instructions in more detail. She was also interested in learning to cook, although extensive cooking was not required by the family.
What did she excel in? She excelled in reliability, consistency, punctuality, trustworthiness and following instructions. She was also capable of managing both childcare and housekeeping duties and took initiative in planning household routines.
Loyalty to her work? She was very loyal and dependable. She rarely took time off and was consistent in attending work. She is incredibly reliable and trustworthy, with no concerns regarding her honesty.
Was she mostly on time for work? Yes. Punctuality was one of her strengths. She was consistently on time, managed her working hours well and very rarely took leave.
Did she cook? Example of the meals? She did not do the family’s full cooking because the employer preferred to cook. However, she assisted with meal preparation by chopping vegetables, onions, ginger and garlic. She also prepared basic food for the baby, such as boiling vegetables.
Did she give notice when she resigned/ if applicable? We made the decision to let her go because the family’s needs had changed and they no longer required full-time domestic assistance.
Would you recommend her services? Yes I would definitely recommend her as both a nanny and a housekeeper, she is reliable, consistent, trustworthy and dependable.
Communication skills? She understood instructions reasonably well, although sometimes additional explanation was needed because of language-related difficulties.
